GoodCorporation was founded in 2000 by a group of former partners and directors of KPMG consulting who wanted to create a straight-forward and transparent method to help companies to measure their impacts in a credible way.
Michael Littlechild - Chief Executive & Co-Founder
Michael became a director of GoodCorporation in August 2001. Formerly a partner at KPMG Consulting, he worked in the private and public sectors in Europe, the Middle and Far East, and Africa. He advised on strategy and policy formulation and implementation, and designed many government programmes in developed and emerging economies. In 1997, he was made responsible for KPMG’s Euro Advisory Services.
Michael takes responsibility for the on-site assessment work and the quality of all of the assessment work.
Prior to joining KPMG, Michael spent five years as a Research Fellow at the Centre for European Policy Research at Strathclyde.
Leo Martin - Director & Co-Founder
Leo Martin is a founder and Director of GoodCorporation. He is the principal character in the BBC series Good Company, Bad Company about corporate responsibility and he is also author of 'From Principles to Profits' the BBC Learning book about putting corporate responsibility into practice. He graduated with a first class degree in economics from the University of Sussex and an MPhil from Cambridge University in development economics.
He started his career as a Fellow of the Overseas Development Institute and then went to KPMG where he worked for eight years on economics and strategy for governments and companies worldwide. His clients included AstraZeneca, Rolls-Royce, KLM, EDS, Pizza Hut, as well as a number of departments of government in the UK and Hong Kong. Leo then went on to work for Lord Sharman, then global chairman of KPMG, where he helped to establish Britain in Europe, the pro-single currency campaign. Leo is on the Council of London in Europe and the former chair of London First's Corporate Citizenship working group.
Leo is responsible for business development and strategy.
Dr George Houpis - Non-executive Director & Co-Founder
George became a non-executive director of GoodCorporation in August 2001. He leads the telecoms and postal consulting work at Frontier Economics, which specialises in economic policy and strategy advice. A former Director at KPMG Consulting, he worked on competition and regulation, advising telecoms, postal services and government clients. George is a founding member of an international charity, the Jorg Weise Association, and chairman of the Vacstuds Foundation, a charity teaching English to overseas school children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Vicky Pryce – Advisory Council member & Co-Founder
Vicky is currently the Department for Trade and Industry's Chief Economic Adviser and Director General, Economics and Deputy Head of the UK's Government Economic Service. Vicky was previously a partner at London Economics, Partner and Chief Economist at KPMG, Corporate Economist at ESSO Europe and Chief Economist at Williams and Glyn's Bank, later the Royal Bank of Scotland.
Vicky co-founded GoodCorporation, and was board chair until 2002. Due to her new role in the government, she has stepped down from the board of GoodCorporation Ltd to avoid any conflicts of interest. She now sits on the Advisory Panel of GoodCorporation.
Jane Arnott - Country Manager in New Zealand
Prior to being appointed Country Manager for GoodCorporation in New Zealand, Jane was the executive director of a nationwide charitable organisation working closely with the corporate sector and a government department. She founded New Zealand first cross cultural consultancy representing Pacific Island communities and has run her own communications company specialising in investor relations, business marketing strategy and branding. Her clients included listed companies, state owned enterprises, government departments and health agencies.
Jane has a post graduate qualification in professional ethics. She is a member of the Institute of Directors and is an associate trustee for the New Zealand Conservation Trust.

Michele Sanders
Michele came to GoodCorporation from KPMG where she worked first in Financial Audit and went on to KPMGs Sustainability Advisory Services department; her role centred around the verification of non-financial information (including greenhouse gas emissions) published by companies. She holds a Masters of Science and is also a Chartered Accountant. She joined GoodCorporation as an assessor in September 2004 and has since undertaken assessments in Indonesia, South Africa, the UK, the US, Russia and Canada. Michele is originally from South Africa. |

Marguerite Whitwham
Prior to joining GoodCorporation, Margurite worked as a project executive for the National Centre of Scientific Research, EDF-GDF and for ADEME (French Agency for Energy and Environment). Marguerite also spent two years as a senior consultant for the Environment Service Line of Arthur Andersen before joining Axenne for a period of 4 years in Paris. Marguerite holds a post graduate degree in energy economics, and has carried out socio-economic and market studies related to energy and transport before involving herself in wider strategy advisory missions and training in the field of sustainable development. Marguerite joined GoodCorporation at the end of 2004 and has since undertaken assessments in France, the UK, Congo, Morocco and Czech Republic. Marguerite is based in Paris, France. |

Abbey Lin
Abbey came to GoodCorporation from Grameen Foundation where she managed all aspects of their expansion in China; including conducting financial and social assessments on their investments. Prior to Grameen in the US, she worked with Grameen Bank (Nobel Peace Prize 2006) in Bangladesh and lived in Taiwan on a full fellowship provided by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education. Abbey holds a double BA in International Economics and Chinese from UCLA, and a MA in International Affairs from University of California, San Diego (UCSD) where she attended on a Peter Gourevitch - full academic scholarship. Abbey speaks fluent Chinese and is originally from the US. |

Dr Virginia Acha
Virginia Acha is Research Fellow with the Centre for Complex Product Systems (CoPS) at CENTRIM (University of Brighton) and the Programme Manager of the Leverhulme Programme on the Socioeconomic Impacts of ICTs (Digital Transformations) at the London Business School. She is an expert in innovation and corporate strategy in the oil and gas industry. Virginia was formerly a management consultant with SQW in Cambridge. She is half American and half Peruvian by background and a fluent Spanish speaker. Virginia holds a BA from William & Mary, a MPhil from the University of Cambridge and DPhil from University of Sussex. She has verified for GoodCorporation in the USA and in Latin America. |
