MEASUREMENT
The GoodCorporation assessment report contains both a review of the organisation’s performance and commentary on how existing practices can be improved. The assessments are used to produce the GoodCorporation summary ratings, which provide an informative view of how policies and practices work in reality. The five assessment grades from ‘fail’ to ‘commendation’ are turned into a point scoring system that can provide graphical representations on performance. The assessment report and ratings are confidential to the member and not published by GoodCorporation.
GoodCorporation has consolidated the scores for each point achieved by all our clients, and used this to provide a GoodCorporation benchmark. This benchmark provides a challenging comparison for each organisation with a peer group of GoodCorporations.
XYZ Verification Company (Verco) Summary of performance
The ratings can be used in a number of ways.
1.) Members can compare themselves to the GoodCorporation benchmark, which is calculated from aggregated assessment data. A scorecard of all the grades can be reviewed and used to analyse overall performance.
2.) Members can track their progress over time as ratings are updated annually with the assessment cycle.
3.) Members that have operations separately assessed by division or country can undertake internal comparison and develop an internal benchmark. This can help to prioritise areas for attention as well as enabling best practice to be transferred from one part of the organisation to another.
4.) The organisation can review its performance for each stakeholder group compared to the GoodCorporation benchmark. This enables the organisation to identify particular stakeholder groups where improvements can be made

5.) The organisation can review its performance of each business practice within a stakeholder group compared to the GoodCorporation benchmark. This enables heads of function to monitor specific points within their control and identify where improvements are needed.
6.) The organisation can also measure its number of fail and minor non-compliance grades as a proportion of its total grades. This ‘variance’ measure can help the organisation to focus on its key areas of weakness and to eliminate poor practices from across its operations.
