Harassment and bullying framework

GoodCorporation's Framework on Bullying and Harassment is a set of responsible management practices that can be implemented to demonstrate an approach to bullying and harassment that recognises and respects dignity at work. The two-page can be used to design, embed or assess an organisation's approach to bullying and harassment.

Areas covered by the framework

  • Leadership: there is a clear management stance, with leadership by example showing that bullying and harassment are unacceptable.
  • Policy and governance: there is a written policy with clear responsibility for implementation and resources available to ensure steps can be taken to counter bullying and harassment.
  • Culture: the organisation advocates a zero-tolerance approach to bullying and harassment with training and processes in place to help prevent poor behaviour and protect the well-being of staff.
  • Speak-up: trusted systems are in place to facilitate reporting.
  • Dealing with allegations and incidents: there is an effective and impartial system in place for investigating and handling all reports of bullying and harassment supported by an appropriate disciplinary process.
  • Monitoring and review: there is a system in place to monitor incidents, review data and assess employee feedback to identify any trends and report to the board.
