Human rights assessment in the construction sector

GoodCorporation worked with a leading construction firm to assess the effective implementation of the company’s worker welfare programme. The project involved on-site inspections of a number of sites and managed sites to assess whether the overall management, labour conditions and working practices were in line with company policy.

GoodCorporation visited construction sites, labour camps and site offices conducting face-to-face interviews with site managers, supervisors and construction workers, both those contracted by the company and those working for subcontractors.

A 56-point framework was used as the basis for the assessment with grades awarded for each framework point indicating whether further action was required.

GoodCorporation understands cultural issues and gives good practical advice.
