GoodCorporation strengthens board with the appointment of three non-executive directors

Following a period of sustained growth, GoodCorporation is appointing three non-executive directors to its board. Vicky Pryce, Catherine Roche and Mei Li Powell join the board in July, bringing a wealth of business development, finance and strategy experience to support GoodCorporation through its next phase.

Vicky Pryce is Chief Economic Adviser and board member at the Centre for Economics and Business Research (CEBR). Previously, she was Director General for Economics at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) and Joint Head of the UK Government Economic Service. Vicky held senior economic positions in banking and the oil sector and was a partner and Chief Economist at KPMG. She currently holds a number of academic posts, is a visiting professor, sits on the Advisory Board of the central banking think-tank OMFIF and is a fellow of the Radix Centre for Business, Politics and Society. Vicky has a long association with GoodCorporation which she co-founded with ex-KPMG colleagues Leo Martin, George Houpis and Michael Littlechild 21 years ago. She is also a major shareholder.

Catherine Roche also has a long-standing connection with GoodCorporation, where she worked as a consultant in the companyā€™s early years. Today she is Chief Executive of childrenā€™s mental health charity Place2Be. Catherine began her career in teaching before completing an MBA and joining KPMG. Her pro bono support for Place2Be from 1996 inspired her to join the charity as Chief Operating Officer in 2003. In 2014 she became Chief Executive and has led the organisationā€™s development ever since. In 2019, Catherine was elected to the Board of the NHS Confederation Mental Health Network.

Mei Li Powell is the Chief Operating Officer of Borne, a medical research charity focussed on ending premature birth. She is responsible for the financial health, management and operational delivery of Borne. Mei Li has had a global career in financial services, leading marketing and business development teams at Citi, Euroclear and the RBS Group. She has particular expertise in mentoring teams to help build enterprise value and accelerate business growth. In addition to her position at Borne, Mei Li is Co-Vice chair of Trustees at Pilotlight, a charity that amplifies the impact business, individuals and the third sector can bring to tackle social disadvantage and drive lasting change.

Commenting on these appointments, Leo Martin, founder and managing director of GoodCorporation said: ā€œWe are delighted that Vicky, Catherine and Mei Li are able to join our board at such an important stage in GoodCorporationā€™s development. Their combined knowledge, expertise and business skills will add considerable strength to our management team, enabling us to grow the company to meet our clientsā€™ needs.

ā€œWhen we launched twenty-one years ago, we were at the forefront of the development of corporate ethics, sustainability, governance and compliance programmes. Since then, embedding responsible management and operational practices has become a priority. As a result, business ethics has become established as a strategic pillar of commercial thinking and risk management, integral to long-term sustainability. In line with this evolution, we have expanded our range of services and grown our team. Our board appointees will add strategic vision and direction to support our continued development.ā€
